Feel the high quality and the short, curly wool in this extra soft sheepskin, that fits right into your favorite chair. The quality is easy to feel in the beautiful curls, that appear when the skin is cut. The short length on the curly hair is very resistant to filth. The skin is easy to wipe clean, because the dirt has limited access to the fur. This sheepskin looks a lot like our gothic sheepskin, which is one of the most expensive skins we have. That makes this skin a cheap alternative of high quality.
This short-haired sheepskin is a really good investment. The quality can be felt clearly in the beautiful curls that occur after the coat has been cut. You might believe that you get less for your money with a short-haired sheepskin but the short length of the wool is actually very practical. With the short hairs the sheepskin is very resistant to dirt. The skin is easy to keep clean and dry as there is not as much fur that the dirt can get stuck in. See more about how to care for your genuine sheepskin in our fur care guide here.
The skin is confusingly reminiscent of our Gotland sheepskin which is one of the most expensive skins we have and therefore this skin is a cheap alternative of high quality.

A real hide
No two are the same
Every sheepskin here is a single animal hide, so the outline is organic and the size varies by an inch or two either way. Undyed skins vary more still, because the shade shifts across the animal and no two grew the same.
That is the material behaving like a natural one rather than a fault. What we do control is the selection: hides are chosen for wool density, evenness of the crop, and how supple the leather side stays after tanning.
Our skins are tested by TUV SUD and carry the OEKO-TEX Leather Standard, which means they have been checked for chromium 6, formaldehyde and a list of other substances you would not want on something your family sits on.
