Our round bean bag is made of sheepskin from New Zealand and fits perfectly both in the children's room and in the living room. This bean bag is made of short wool. A sheepskin beanbag may just be the best way to use premium sheepskin from New Zealand. The wonderfully soft product gives you the ultimate cosiness and relaxation experience - all in the comfort of your own home. Just like all our other products, the sheepskin used to create this beanbag is a byproduct of the meat production in New Zealand. This means that a leftover that would otherwise be discarded is used to create this wonderful product. But what is premium sheepskin? The difference between premium and "regular" quality sheepskin lies in the thickness of the coat, the natural shine and softness of the wool and the durability. Less than 5 % of all New Zealand sheepskins are premium quality and this high quality is maintained and improved through a careful tanning process.
The beanbag is made from sheared short wool sheepskin from New Zealand that has been smoothed out in order to create a product with a softness that is beyond compare. The hair is 2-3 cm long (about and inch) and its softness can easily be maintained by brushing the beanbag every once in a while.
The beanbag is available in 2 different sizes. Most colours are achieved by colouring the sheepskin, but the white variant is natural in colour. That means that the sheepskin does not look snow white, as it will always throw some shade onto the hairs, but this natural play of colours only makes the beanbag more beautiful and natural looking. The white colour can easily be combined with different styles and is surprisingly easy to maintain. Stains can be removed with a wet cloth and dried stains can be brushed out with a sheepskin brush.

This piece is not sitting in a warehouse waiting to be picked. It is made in our own workshop in Denmark once you order it, which is why it takes 2 to 3 weeks rather than 2 to 3 days.
Hides are matched by hand so the wool runs in one direction across the piece, then stretched, trimmed and finished by the same person who started it. Where there is a frame, it is cut and joined from solid oak, ash or beech. Nothing is assembled from pre-cut panels on a line.
It is a slower way to work and it costs more. It is also why a 20 year warranty is a reasonable thing for us to offer, and why these pieces can be repaired or reupholstered in fifteen years instead of thrown out.
